I like to imagine she's standing in the Palace gardens not long after she arrived in Del. A foreign girl in a city full of strangers, she doesn't really know anyone and fewer know who she is. Whispers abound about the beautiful and young Toran girl and she spends most of her time hidden away from sight, but here she's in a moment of relaxation admiring one of the flowers in the beautiful gardens.

I always liked Marilen, I have headcanons that her and Jasmine became best friends forever and there's hardly any fanart of her! This is only the second time I've ever drawn her and the first time was many years ago, if I can find the original I'll do one of those improvement memes so you can all see the difference

About her dress~
In the books Torans are always mentioned having a robe of a certain colour, they look like butterflies fluttering in the breeze. I went through so many designs before I found one that fitted between the book description and wasn't just a simple a robe, I wanted to draw something pretty! I'm still not sure exactly how I feel about it, if you've read the books let me know how this fits with what you thought
